The ScholarOne Manuscripts application supports multiple types of notifications that users can subscribe to, depending on their workflow needs.
Decision Notifications
These notifications are triggered when a manuscript reaches a specific decision or recommendation event. Each notification delivers a standardized message payload. Subscriptions are available for all decision and recommendation events configured across the system's decision tasks.
Task Status Notifications
These notifications are triggered when a workflow task for a manuscript reaches a specified status. Like decision notifications, they deliver a standardized message payload. Subscriptions can be configured for any task status across all defined workflow tasks.
System Event Notifications
System Event Notifications are triggered by various system-level actions or user account events within the ScholarOne Manuscripts platform. These include account updates, manuscript submission confirmations, integration events with external systems, invited author/reviewer activity, export outcomes, and other system-generated changes. Each event delivers a standardized message payload upon occurrence.
Checklist Question Change Notification
This notification is triggered when a recorded response to a previously completed question is modified. It can be applied to questions from the Checklist, Additional Fields, or Submission Questions categories. The notification delivers a standardized message payload whenever an update is made by an admin or other member of the editorial staff.
